 MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE

The strength of a very wide range of tenders makes it possible to adapt to all uses, to meet all needs. So to be sure to choose the boat of your dreams. We give you the main criteria to take into account to guide you towards the your goal.

The right size

Perhaps the most important part of your decision depends on the size of your future boat. Quite logically, the larger the boat, the more people and cargo you can transport. It is therefore the planned use that will direct you to a large or more moderately sized dinghy or full size semi ridged boat.
It is also a guarantee of stability and security. With a larger dinghy, you can venture into rougher waters and go faster. This is the case of boats  with a rigid bottom.

A final point that may constrain you in your choice is the size of your davit or your dinghy attachment platform on your main boat. The size of your tender must indeed correspond to the installations of your boat to ensure stable attachment.

The Transport

Before and after launching, you will have to transport your dinghy to the shore, a point that must be taken into account, in particular for weight issues, but also on the resistance of the dinghy and its storage. The 3D Tender foldable boats are the best options for easy and practical storage, whether in the trunk of a car, or a storage locker on your boat. Storage area that takes little space, and also allows it to be carried around.

They are in fact the lightest tenders in the 3D Tender range, a strength that makes them very easy to handle when sailing, in addition to their practicality. To make your choice among all our foldable tenders, from the lightest Twin Air to the most stable Fast Cat.

Different floors

However, the inflatable floor of the foldable tenders makes them vulnerable to friction and shocks, whether it is the underwater rocks or pebbles beaches, the points of a harpoon or a hook.

For more resistant options, we recommend our aluminum tenders with a rigid bottom which ensures their solidity, which makes them a reliable choice. Despite a greater weight, their V-shaped hull allows better performance in navigation. A more solid floor and a larger size will then be an interesting choice for regular use, compared to foldable tenders which are intended for more occasional use.

It is the robustness that makes these tenders safer boats, and better suited to frequent use.

Choose the material

As already mentioned, the choice of fabric for the floats is also a criterion to be taken into account. To summarize what has already been said, in areas with high heat, favor hypalon. PVC remains a very good choice, it is a resistant and quality material, considering our preferred suppliers at 3D Tender.
Keep in mind that the durability of your floats, and your tender more generally, depends on the maintenance that is given to them.

Overexposure to the sun and marine corrosion can quickly cause the floats or floor to detach, if the tenders are not cleaned with the fresh water after each outing, and protected from the sun when not in use.

Higher requirements

If you still can't find what you're looking for in the previously listed attachments, then you might want to consider even larger sizes which can also attach to larger main boats.
You will then have the choice of removable boats, such as the Heavy Duty, an inflatable boat with a removable aluminum floor which has the particularity of being able to be transported in a cardboard box once folded and stored, while having a greater length than a semi tender. -rigid.

If you want to opt for something fully equipped because comfort is most important to you, then you have the Nividic and the Dream available, boats that fulfill their function as a tender while emphasizing comfort.
